CHECK HIM OUT!!!!

Ok...So I am quite in love with this man today. Isn't he just a cutie???? We had to take a few shots of him for his ministry profile and website. Here they are...

I think that this is the one that we will use on the home page of the site, and as his portfolio pict.

These are NOT serious pictures...I was just snapping and Brian was...well...being Brian.

Jehovah Jireh...

Isn't that a beautiful name?

Jehovah Jireh means "The Lord Provided". This is the theme of my life. It is a trying theme, but a beautiful one at that.

So, today this little "rock" like word and song is flowing in my heart. God-Provider. As we have been preparing for our next ministry, I have been praying and seeking God, that He would mold my desires to be His. And that He would provide me with the emotions that HE would have me to feel. Which...leads me on to this...

Last week, I was "goodwilling" with the kiddos. I knew that I was going to have about 30 minutes of sitting in the car, so I thought, maybe the Goodwill will have a good book. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A FICTION BOOK AT THE GOODWILL. So, I thought...this might be junk. I might hate it. But, worst comes to worst...I paid .69 for a book I didn't like and I will sell it on Ebay. Funny enough, God directed my eyes to the book He had for me. I seriously feel as though it happened JUST like that. I have been reading this "fiction" book, about a woman who is struggling leaving all that she knows, and adventuring on to a new ministry.

The book is nothing spectaular, other than the fact that that moment was a Jehovah Jireh moment. God has used that book, and the scripture within it, to remind me that great wonders and amazing ministry opprotunities await for me. He has huge things. I must let go of what I think is well, and grab on to the truths that will set me free.

I am completly in love with a Maker who will do this for me. Me, who so does not deserve it. I can't wait to see what He is going to do...and WHERE! How fun!!!!

Passion Play and Hawiian Hut...

Ahhh.. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Passion Plays? I love theater in general, but, add Christ and the Gospel to it...all the better!

Abbie was my shining star last night. She loves theater too. And would love to be more involved in it. Faith has been wonderful at giving her a little window into the world of production. She loves that Pastor Trey is a master director!

Before we went to the play, we visited a new restaurant. The Hawaiian Hut. IT IS A MUST! If you live anywhere in Lafayette, In, you have to give it a whirl. I will do a better write up on it later, but let's just say that you will be singing in your head for days. ;)

"My" Christine...oh and Shane is behind her. :P
Pastor Titus...doing his thing.

Isn't she cute?
And here is the video...hopefully it will play right?

A Sad Goodbye...

Today, we had to put Zeke down. He has been an incredible blessing to our family, and has protected us on many occasions. He was a companion to Brian, running with him everyday. We are very sad. Brian and Abbie especially. It was a tough call to make, but he was in so much pain that we had to do it. Praising God for the wonderful 8 years that we had with this sweet dog...

First Words Isaac...

What a goof. Today, among his first words were:

Isaac: Mommy---Alerica is not for everyone! (pronounced a-lyric-a---don't really know how it is spelled.
Me: hmmm...(Still asleep and trying to figure out what Alerica was)
Isaac: It is for illness...but not all of them.
Me: Good Thinking Isaac.
Isaac: I didn't think that. The tv said it. ( And with that, he ran off.)

St Patty's Day

St Patty's Day is a fun day in the Shaw house. We celebrate Ireland every March. It is also a great day to teach about the men and women who lived before us, and preached about God. PLUS---> is just a fun way to break up the blahs of a non-holiday month. lol.

A really cool thing about Brian being off from work, is that he helps with homeschooling. He helped the kids make their own paper for their Leprechaun hats.

And HE even took this picture!!!!

Since Brian went to school on St Patty's day, we went with him. Last minute whim, we decided to go downtown. It was BUZZING and filled with excitement. She was my Indy.

There were protesters! Funny, they were holding signs that said, "We want Good News!"

And Magician type men. He was all tied up. Starting to get free.

And now...Free.

There stands Miss Indiana---both of them. Did you know that Miss Indiana's real name is Victory. She looks to the south to look over the fallen battlefields.

Ooops.

Christ Church Cathedral.

And...our ever favorite self portrait...always have to have one of those!
